The action sports touring sensation, Nitro Circus Live, wrapped up its 2012 Australian Capital City tour in front of a capacity crowd of 16,000 at the Burswood Dome in Perth on Saturday night. The show was the 11th of the tour following multiple sold out shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
The tour features some of the world’s best action sports athletes who once again produced a number of world first action sports feats and displayed the best FMX, BMX and skateboard action Australia has ever seen to 110,000 fans around the country.
Mind blowing FMX tricks were thrown down at each event including the first ever back flip double grabs and back flip heart attack Indys performed in Australia by Taka Higashino (JAP), multiple front flips over an 80 foot gap by Jackson Strong (AUS), multiple double back flips by Cam Sinclair (AUS), huge ruler flips by Adam Jones (USA) and insane whips from Beau Bamburg that blew the fans minds.
It was just as crazy on the 50 foot high Giganta ramp throughout the tour with a number of world first BMX tricks performed. James Foster (USA) landed the first triple back flips in Australia, Matt Whyatt (AUS) threw down a number of back flip, tail whip to late 360s, Dusty Wygle (USA) performed some back flip lazy boys and Nitro Circus star Special Greg landed his Body Varial named the Special Flip on numerous occasions.
One of the greatest skateboard riders of all time, Bob Burnquist (BRA), performed a number of amazing tricks including front flips and Christ Air flips whilst fellow skaters Beaver Flemming (USA) and Lynz Adams Hawkins Pastrana (USA) pushed their limits every night to perform all new tricks.
In typical Nitro style there were a bunch of crazy contraptions that had no place going off the Giganta, but did anyway including a Barbie Car, Wheelie Bin, kids trikes, roller skis, rollerblades and a snowboard.
Managing Director of Nitro Circus Live, Michael Porra, said he was once again blown away by the response to the tour in Australia.
“Australian fans go absolutely nuts for Nitro Circus so we wanted to give them the chance to see the incredible new show before we take it to seven countries throughout Europe later this year. All of the athletes love performing here and always grow and develop throughout the tour because of the amazing support they get,” said Porra after the show.
The tour will now take a short break before its first ever European tour in November and December, which will correspond with the global release of the 3D Nitro Circus movie.
